[Perhaps Alphinaud was studying or taking a stroll around the academy. Whatever the case, no matter where he is or what he's doing, he is interrupted by a snowy owl abruptly flying in and dropping a scroll from above him, and flying away as quickly as it arrived. Hope those reflexes are fast enough to catch it with his hands rather than his head.

The handwriting, while quite beautiful and elegant in an aesthetic sense, is... barely readable. With some effort, the letter says (maybe):]

Dearest Lord Alphinaud:

I do sincerely hope this letter finds you well.

I would like to once again thank you for your assistance during the introduction class in the previous week. My health has made a complete recovery, thanks to your kindness and effort.

It would be a great honor if you would so allow me to express my gratitude with repayment. With this letter, I have included a notice of an event that is of great interest to me. I apologize for the short notice, as it is for tonight only, but I would be most delighted were you to accompany me under my own financial expense.

I shall await your reply with much anticipation.

[As written, there is a small flyer tucked behind the letter, advertising a one-night-only concert starring someone named Myala Mxyawtna. Based on the sensationalized buzzwords on it, she appears to be a rather famous organ player here.]

[Alphinaud had been at work on his studies when he received the mysterious visitor. Before he has a chance to unfold the scroll it dropped to confirm that the message is indeed intended for him, the bird flies away. It's curious, but he turns his attention to the letter, smiling as he reads the way it is addressed. Moreover, it is written rather elegantly, something which he can appreciate in its own right, but he is also certain of the sender before he reads anything which markedly identifies her.

He finishes reading and notes the urgency of the request. At once, he sets aside his books and gathers a blank scroll and a quill with which to pen his reply:]

Miss Takane,

I am glad to hear that your health has recovered. You needn't thank me for taking what was simply the appropriate action to take, but I am grateful for the offer nonetheless. The honor would be mine entirely to accompany you to this event.

I shall plan to arrive one hour in advance to the venue. If you should like to meet any sooner, please do let me know and I can accommodate.

[Thankfully, Takane's owl does check in some minutes later to see if there is a reply, and quickly sees to it that it is delivered.

The bird returns rather quickly:]

That will be fine. I do look forward to seeing you.
